Troika Generator & Tracker

Use the buttons below to generate characters for the Troika! roleplaying game. The turn tracker lets you manage Troika’s weird turn system. You can view all 453 backgrounds here.

Add your own Backgrounds to the Generator

If you email me your backgrounds I may not be able to add them to the generator. My time is limited, unfortunately, and y'all have a LOT of backgrounds!

Follow the steps below to ensure your backgrounds are added in.

  1. Login to your github.com account.
  2. Navigate to the technicalgrimoire repository.
  3. Click that little fork button in the top right.
  4. Navigate to assets/generator_resources/troika.json.
  5. Edit the file (little pencil on the top right of the file).
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the file, add as many backgrounds as you like. Use the same formatting as the others.
  7. Click "Commit Changes" on the bottom.
  8. Click the "Code" tab along the top left.
  9. Next to "This branch is 1 commit ahead of DavidSchirduan:netlify" click the "contribute" button and then click "open pull request".
  10. Click "Create Pull Request". Click it again in the bottom right.
  11. You're done! I'll review your background and add it to the generator. Thanks!

Description

You miss it—the sensation of touch, the pleasure of eating, even the void of sleep. Perhaps that’s why you care so deeply for these adopted creatures.
You’ve turned your frame into a home for your creatures. They live in your ribcage, in the coral of your skull, around the kelp growing from your arms. You know them better than you knew your old flesh and can always count on their loyalty.

  • Fish Food (+1 Command Creature, 2 uses).
  • 2 small creatures following you as henchmen.
  • A spiked collar with the name “Ori” etched onto it.
  • The Book of Names.
  • Whip (Damage as Staff).
  • Small box of shiny things.
  • 2d6 Silver Pence
  • Knife (DMG 2, 2, 2, 2, 4, 8, 10)
  • Lantern & flask of oil
  • Rucksack
  • 6 Provisions

Advanced Skills & Spells

Add your Skill ( + 4 ) to each of these:

  • 3 Spell – Command Creature
  • 2 Soothing Voice
  • 2 Spell - Empathize
  • 1 Foraging
  • 1 Cuddling

Special

All skeletons can Test their Luck to absorb memories of an object, creature, or location they are touching.
After successfully commanding a creature it follows you as a henchmen until it runs out of Stamina and flees.
DRIVE:To command. Whenever you successfully command a creature both you and the creature recover 1d6 Stamina and you recover 1d6 Luck.
